Home Grown Hand Made (this site is under construction, be careful of the ladders and hammers and nails)
Welcome to our very small farm.
Scattered Stones Croft includes myself, my husband Peter, Toby the Springer Spaniel, three angora goats, Bill, Peanut, and Wilbur, and a small subsistence garden which feeds us almost year-round. Since you have to have chickens to have a "croft," have just added twelve chickens who will soon be providing eggs, but are now providing a great deal of amusement. They are: Buff Orpingtons: Lily, Violet, and Red Molly; Silver Lace Wyandottes: Cyril the Rooster, Matilda, and Flossy; Black Austalorps: Desdemona, Millicent, and Henrietta; Golden Lace Wyandottes: Olivia, Pearl, and Ruby.
We live on 15 acres that supply us with trees for Peter’s wooden hand made objects and the goats with varied forage, and Toby with wonderful places to run and things to sniff. The goats supply me with mohair from which I spin, dye, knit, and weave warm fuzzy things.
